 Point Reduction Information
In West Virginia Points are assessed for traffic violations according to the severity of the offense. Motorists who accumulate 6 to 8 points against their license receive a warning letter urging them to exercise more caution and to obey all traffic laws. Continued unlawful driving can lead to license suspension.

By taking the Point Reduction Course the Points assessed for traffic violations will be deducted.

Licensees who have outstanding violations that could raise the total above 11 points, or who have taken the course within the last two years are not eligible.

 

The West Virginia Point Reduction can remove the point value from the Department of Motor Vehicles record and will also help with their insurance.
